Maybe I'm nonexistent

After reading this FBT, you see why this Nomad Clan piece is ironic, right?
There are any number of insufferable silly fatheads of theories and one that irritates me to no end is the absolute dude man belief that reality is not real. We're all in a simulation designed to distract our consciousness from the busyness of survival.

The problem is the words used to explained in this theory. "Simulation", "virtual reality", "projection". It's not the theory itself, which is likely true. Until it's not.

Proven by math, of course, there is actually a legit sounding theory that our perception of reality is what creates that reality. There is no spoon. Also there are endless possibilities for realities and the spoon exists in all of them lightly anatomically shifted by the perception of those in our parallel realities.

Hard to understand? Watch a bunch of Rick and Morty episodes and you'll get the point.

The humming and hawing of our physical reality, buzzing atoms and the entropy of the universe, us all as meaningless specks of dust in the wind, means that our individual consciousness is proof of the simulation. "Science shows us that reality is an illusion." Or so the theory goes.

Maybe I'm agnostic

this is not AI generated, it's by L7M
The interesting bit on the theory is what we might be, simply avatars of an unbound and collective intelligence.

But back to the start – this theory irritates the absolute living piss out of me. Why? Because what in the absolute fuck does it matter!? Sorry, but really. Does bending my mind to unwind as the entire concept of "belief" is no longer relevant change the non-existent coffee that isn't actually cold already from being less than ideal on a Friday morning? Does it stop me from needing to make things and write and think and be?

We search, our entire lives I expect, for a way to accept our body's mortality. We use religion and logic and math and philosophy and art to...deal. It is what it is and we have no idea what it is.

And that concludes the episode wherein Laura explains why she's agnostic, not atheist and certainly not religious.

Maybe I need help?

Well, no, I don't really need help because I don't exist. But wassup with you today?
