Maybe I'm brain fogged

Wowzers man, yesterday I was a disaster. I had zero energy, I was grumpy, it was a beautiful day, and I had to draw the curtains closed and put my phone on Do Not Disturb. It was some kinds of a psychotic hormone swing or something, and it left me a mess. The only thing I did was publish a post about AI regulatory models, which I'm not really proud of.

I've been having a hard time getting things out of my head (she says and then links to two posts she wrote recently).

A big thing that happened this week is more tech job layoffs. This week it was Red Hat who announced traumatising their workforce with layoffs despite having billion-dollar profit quarters and positive growth. I'm really sorry to those of you who are dealing with layoffs right now, it's awful.

Red Hat also announced that they won't be supporting opensource.com anymore, a publishing site I've contributed to for like 7 years. So the Open Org community needs a new home. Our website and forum are also on Red Hat infrastructure. This industry, y'all, this industry.

Maybe I'm flabbergasted

Not to be gross, but cattle mutilation is an unexplained phenomenon and it is weirdly wild to stumble upon. Apparently, the aliens are up to more than just pyramids and crop circles.

When I was in the fifth grade I had to do a project on unsolved mysteries. We learned about the Bermuda triangle, crop circles, Easter Island...it was the most impressive bit of curriculum I'd ever experienced, probably because it was my first big project in the special kids programme. I don't spend enough time dabbling in conspiracy theories, I think.

So is it aliens that bloodlessly steal the tongues and genitals of these cows since 1606? Or should we believe the hypotheses from scientists?
I ask the question because more and more my rational brain is downright flabbergasted by what other people believe.

Maybe I need help?

I spoke with a friend about the lack of ambition floating around. At the co-op our projects are thinning out. We probably need work for later this year. But I honestly can't seem to find the drive to go out and find some. Seems like everybody is a little on edge at the moment, no?

Well, cheer up, we'll be ok. Dumb ways to die > https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IJNR2EpS0jw
