Patron Edition!
I didn't finish my newsletter last week because of things detailed below, so only YOU patrons get to know the what's what from last week ;)

Maybe I'm igniting

Apologies for sending this three days late. Last week I spent about fourteen hours a day in full extrovert mode. Saturday I traveled, Sunday I was cross-eyed exhausted and did nothing but started reading this book that my mom left on my shelf.

Over the past year I have steadily worked towards bringing Red Hat and Greenpeace together through Planet 4. IMHO Greenpeace needs tech partnerships with companies who understand the challenges of global non-profits. I don't know that Red Hat does, but they've been open to learning. From me. Through my passion and engagement.

Last week, Red Hatters from Waterford and Greenpeacers from all over Europe started a potential collaboration. I need to help Greenpeace understand the difference between a vendor relationship and an actual partnership, but if I can just push a little further...

Actually, no. I'm already successful at this. I started a massive open source project at Greenpeace International and developed a relationship that could make that project achieve what it says it wants to achieve. It's time for others to pick it up. If the powers that be can't see past their prejudices, it'll fall to dust. And none of that will be my fault.

Once someone told me that I'm a quitter. That I never finish things. He didn't know shit. I step out when my skills are no longer required. I start fires, I fan the flames until they catch, and then I move on.

Maybe I need help?

I apologize again for the sporadic nature of my interactions. I feel like I'm letting you down, and I hate that. I have excuses, you know, but I guess none of them are all that good. Take care now. I'll be sending a better newsletter on Friday again!
