When I designed the WAO internship, I stuck a "Capstone Project" at the end so that our fantastic intern could showcase everything she'd learned over her months with us. The idea was to have her bring together her interests and passions into something educational and open (the internship is about technology, culture, media, pedagogy, openness, etc). I thought that perhaps a new course on Learn with WAO, something with words and structures and colors and graphics and stuff. Something makey.

Anne has chose to focus her Capstone Project on teaching and recognising feminist pedagogy, and I am intellectually jealous. I wish I were being asked to think around that. I wish I needed to go and sit in a cafe and solve the practical puzzles around badging this. Of exploding the theory and making it accessible to people. At the moment I am trying to be helpful and encouraging. She is working on BIG things, and I'm both learning from her journey and remembering my own. This might be the ultimate goal of mentory sorts of relationships any way?

In Germany when Jesus respawns, Good Friday and Easter Monday are holidays. This means that I have a four-day weekend, which I will be using to connect with my sense of place. I will be in the yard tearing down a dilapidated shed and grilling food and talking to the plants and listening to the birds. Hopefully Jesus will recognize me, find me on the "nice" list and I'll still get candies and eggs.
