PsychOps for Mental Health Awareness Month

On Tuesday night I had a dream that I had invented a deck of cards with famous historical figures and their mental health challenges. On Wednesday I got up and started inventing said cards. I’ve made ten. Each of these ten remarkable people likely struggled with mental health issues, so I’ve named the project PsychOps for Mental Health Awareness Month.

It’s important to approach discussions about mental health with sensitivity, empathy, and without stigmatization, and to remember that speculation about someone’s mental health is not a substitute for professional diagnosis or treatment. The “scores” are made up. I am 100% speculating about the mental health of these historical figures.

I made these cards with images I prompted from Dall-e and the fabulous Remixer Machine from the fabulous Bryan M Mathers over at Visual Thinkery. They’re licensed CC-BY-SA Laura Hilliger.

    1. Took me a little while to get it right, but in the end it was “a graphic tarot card of NAME in the style of Alphonsus Mucha”. Sometimes I needed to do some editing, both via Dall-e replacement tool and in Affinity.
